The Story & Production Notes
Poker Face was the first film that involved J. Bradford Saffell in the mix. He helped edit the dialogue of the screenplay. The first scene filmed was the end of the movie where Jack had a hacker steal Valentin's money. The second scene filmed for Poker Face was the very end of Family Values in which Jack stood up and got back to his call which he ended because he saw that Valentin wasn't dead and he got some information out of his secretary about it. The next scene shot was that of Jack handing over the secretary to Eric Truman (Brad), a police detective. Then we filmed William Scott (Andrew) and Valentin (Kevin) in their only scene together where Kevin gave William the job of killing the Mob Boss.
After that, we filmed the scenes with Michelle Jacob and Rob in a locker assortment beneath Ludwig center at Olivet. One of the last scenes to be shot were those with Joe Mackarewicz as the Mob Boss's son. The very last scene to be shot was that with Jack and the Mob Boss, but since Matt Ryan was unavailable, Andrew's hand played the part of the Mob Boss. The film was edited in one night by Andrew K. Sears and a Director's Cut has been made. For a scene by scene breakdown, check out the Scene Index.
